Boots On...Swing into Action

The goals are written, the intention is set...so what's next?

Ideally swinging into action to take the steps big or small. Just like being a kid on a swing, it's lively and exciting. How high can we go while we continue to gain momentum.

If we're on track to the goal, then we'll experience shifts, often big, in how we experience our life along the way.

The after shocks may be felt by those around us as they're conditioned to expect less of us, and now they're experiencing more!

The good news is this is within our control and a wonderful approach to positive change. And it doesn't matter so much how big or small the steps are, as each step building confidence, self esteem, both vital to living a happy and fulfilled life.

Successful people maintain a positive focus in life, no matter what is going on around them. They stay focused on their past successes rather than past failures, and on to the next action steps they need to take to get them closer to the fulfilment of their goals rather than all other distractions life presents to them.
— Jack Canfield

If we're not gaining traction, then best check in with the alignment of these actions to our goal.

The flipside of taking the steps, is not following through and misleading ourselves, being dishonest, not telling the truth to the one person who matters most...ourselves. Unfortunately this inhibits happiness and personal fulfilment, slowing us down from achieving things overall.

Ideally make a commitment to never mislead ourselves and others. Instead, manage our life, take responsibility, doing what is right without bringing about harm to others.

Take a moment to jot down where this may have happened in your life.

  1. What results did this bring about?
  2. What would you change?
  3. Ready to go again?

Once you make the decision to go after your goal, trust yourself to go the extra mile, then do it. Same goes for me; writing is one of the goals I set myself for 2015 and so far I'm on track to deliver on my weekly commitment. Easy, no way, fulfilling hell yes!
